Crown Varsity Baseball Overview

Thursday, September 2nd, 2010

Crown varsity baseball is open for homeschooled players in grades nine through twelve who are serious about the sport. Our opponents are primarily other home school programs from around the state and private (GISA) schools from around the Atlanta area.

After three full seasons, the Varsity team has started compiling stats and creating a school records program. You can find them under the standings tab.

The varsity Crown Knights are proud to call the beautiful East Cobb Baseball complex in Marietta our home field. Click Here for directions to our home field.

CROWN Fall 2010 Varsity Team - Let us know by August 1 if you are interested

Tuesday, July 6th, 2010

Crown Varsity will once again field a fall 2010 baseball team that will compete in a local rec league.  The purpose of the fall team is to allow the coaches a chance to see potential new Varsity players for the spring and for prior season players to brush up on skills.
Depending upon the number of interested players, we will have either 1 or 2 teams.  If you are homeschooled and in high school (grades 9 through 12), please contact Chris Maiocco  BY AUGUST 1 if you are interested in playing (cmaiocco@juno.com).  Note there will be a fee to play in the local league we choose (normally around $200).
Following the fall team, tryouts are expected to be held some time in early November.  Stay tuned for more information.

Crown Middle School Baseball Overview

Monday, February 1st, 2010

The middle school baseball team focuses on developing players and preparing them for the next step. Games are played during the week after school hours, about half local home games and half visiting the opponents’ fields. The middle school team plays their games at Dupree Park and the average season is about 20 games. The coaches come to Crown with experience and ready to fine tune the sixth through eighth grade players into solid baseball players.  The 2011 season promises to be one of development with success.
