Crown swim team will be having a Parent Information Meeting on Sept. 9 at 7:00 P.M. in The King’s Academy chapel.  Anyone interested in swimming for Crown this year should attend this meeting, both new and returning swimmers!

The Crown Swim Team will be holding a Parent Information Meeting for the up-coming season on Thurs., Sept. 9, at 7:00 P.M. in The Kings Academy Chapel.

The Crown Swim Team is open to all homeschooled students 6th - 12th grade (student must turn 11 years old by Sept. 1st).  Swimmers should be able to comfortably swim one length of the pool freestyle and backstroke.

Sign-up/Evaluation Day is scheduled for Sat., Sept. 18th, from 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. at the Eagle Watch pool.

The Crown Swim Team swam at the biggest GISA meet of the season on Jan. 9th at GA Tech.  Both JV Girls and Boys teams placed 1st, with a combined 1st place out of 18 teams!  The Varsity Girls placed 6th out of 12 teams, and the Varsity Boys placed 4th out of 14 teams.  In the combined team scores our Varsity placed 5th out of 17 teams.

The Crown Knights will be swimming at the Georgia Tech Natatorium in the AGS Invitational Swim meet on Saturday, January 9.  This is the biggest GISA meet of the season.  Over 550 swimmers will be participating!  We would love to have some Crown Knight Fans in the stands cheering on our swimmers.   The Natatorium, home of the ‘96 Olympic Games, will be WARM and TROPICAL!!

The Crown Athletics Swim Team gives home schooled boys and girls ages 11-19 the experience of swimming on a school team.  We have competed in the GISA conference as an “exhibiton only” team for the past three years.  This has allowed our athletes to compete against other private schools such as North Cobb Christian, Augusta Prep, George Walton Academy and Atlanta Girls School.  We maintain our own team and individual records.

Swim Team season is from October until January.  We plan to have an information meeting in August and tryouts in September.  These dates will be posted on this website.

Our Head Coach is Michelle Rutledge.  Our practice schedule and home pool have not yet been finalized for the 2009-2010 season.  We typically practice early mornings (6:30-8:00 a.m.) three or four times per week.  Our home pool for the past three years has been at Eagle Watch in Towne Lake.  Most swim meets are held on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays during November, December and January.  We plan to attend 1-2 meets per month.  The meet schedule will be determined in October.  If you have any questions regarding the Crown Knights swim team, please email either Lynn Kaeser at lkaeser@hotmail.com  or Michelle Rutledge, at michellerut@bellsouth.net,  Please put “Crown Swim Team” in the subject line of your email.
