The Crown Tennis Team will be conducting a clinic for students aged 6-12, on Monday, May 3rd and Tuesday, May 4th.  The Clinic will be held at Dupree Park, 513 Neese Rd. in Woodstock.  Times are 4pm to 6pm each day.  Cost is $30.

Campers will be treated to 2 days of drills, instruction and strategy.  All attendees will receive a Crown Tennis Clinic T-shirt, snacks, water and buy-one, get-one free Papa Johns Coupons.

Welcome to our 2010 Crown Tennis Season. Our HS team has several returning starters from a very solid ’09 Team. Our Head Coach, Tracy Downey is looking forward to another great season and a very competitive schedule. And, our MS Coach, Grace Fossier is back and ready for another successful MS season, too!

We will host an informational meeting, for all interested participants, on Saturday December 12th, 11am, at the Kings Academy Chapel. This meeting is for Middle School and High School participants and their parents.

The 2010 Crown season begins around the middle of February, with 2 practices per week. Matches will begin around March 1^st and last until May 1^st.

Our 2009 Crown Tennis season was awesome. We had several competitive matches that were well fought. In the end, the Varsity Girls went undefeated, and the Varsity Boys only dropped one match to a tough Mt. Vernon Presbyterian team. Their final win/loss record was 8-1. All in all, we finished well!

For those of you interested in our 2010 season, we will host an informational meeting on December 12, 2009 from 11a.m. to 12:30p.m. at The King’s Academy chapel. This meeting will be for Middle School and High School participants and their parents. Please check our website for updates and location of this meeting.

We are looking forward to another great season in 2010!

Matches next week are Tuesday, March 17 and Friday, March 20th. This is a change to the schedule per a request by Mt Vernon and it is now Friday and it is AWAY.

So, we play Killian Hills on Tuesday at Moutain Park Tennis. The address for Mountain Park Tennis in Lilburn is 5050 Five Forks Trickum Road, Lilburn, GA. Match begins at 4pm.

We play Friday March 20th against Mt. Vernon Pres. at the Dunwoody Country Club at 4pm. Address is 1600 Dunwoody Club Dr., Dunwoody, GA.

Please have registration and fundraiser monies available to turn in next Tuesday at the Killian Hills match. Registration is $135. We are ordering hoodies and will have information shortly.

We need volunteers to serve as ‘banquet planners’. You will
work in conjunction with our MS Banquet committee members to plan our end of season awards banquet.

Coach Downey and Coach Queen will let you know if there are going to be any practices next week, but, probably not likely as the MS plays at Dupree on Monday, Tuesday and Friday of next week. Come on out and cheer our future HS’ers on as well.
