We were absolutely thrilled with the response to Knights Basketball Cheerleading tryouts this year.  Sixteen girls came out for the team, enough that we are able to field TWO squads!  We are blessed to report that Coach Amy Carroll has agreed to come out of retirement to coach our new Knights Blue Team.  Thank you Coach Amy!  Coach Kim Bengochea looks forward to coaching the Knights Maroon Team.  Both teams will be practicing together to prepare for an exciting basketball season!

Don’t forget our Uniform Fitting Day will be Monday, August 30, 3:45-5:00 @ TKA Chapel.  Parent meeting from 5:00-6:00 p.m. to meet with coaches, form the committee, review practice & payment schedule.  The first payment will be due at this meeting (please refer to the PIM packet you received for payment schedule) and you will have the option to pay in full with a credit card when you register on-line.

At Crown Athletics, cheerleading is both a spirit/support team as well as a highly competitive sport.  We congratulate our squads for a great 2009-10 competition season!

• Varsity - First Place at the Christian Cheerleaders of America (CCA) Carolina Classic competition on February 20, 2010 and Second Place at the CCA Nationals in Concord, NC on March 4-6, 2010.
• Junior Varsity - First Place at the Fellowship of Christian Cheerleaders Georgia Classic competition on December 12, 2009, and First Place at the CCA Peach Classic on January 30, 2010.
• Middle School - First Place at the Fellowship of Christian Cheerleaders Georgia Classic Regionals on December 12, 2009.

Crown Athletics Cheerleaders were ‘on-the-air’ with Kevin and Taylor in the Morning on 104.7 The Fish. Listen to the Audio Track as they cheer and play ‘Are you smarter than a cheerleader?’

The Crown Athletics Cheer program is open to home school girls age 12-18. Students must be 12 years old by September 1 and going into grades 7 –12 when school begins in August. Football/Competition Squad Tryouts are held in April and Basketball Squad Tryouts are held in August each year. Check the website for further details as these dates draw close.
